What are we singing in worship? Why are we singing it?
Song Ties for the Week of September 24, 2023:
With revival right around the corner (October 1-4, Sunday-Wednesday), I hope the words to a song we are singing today ring true. Here are a few lines … “With expectation, we’re waiting. Our hearts are anticipating for You to come down. We’ve come together believing. Revival’s here. We receive it, all You have promised. We want You. We need You. Be welcome in this place. Come inhabit all our praise. Lord, You are worthy. God of all glory, this is the anthem we will raise. With expectation, we’re waiting. Our hearts are anticipating for You to come down.” Did you come expecting anything today? Did you come with expectation? Do you believe that God could fill this place today with His presence and we could all leave differently than when we came in? Is revival here? We can’t schedule revival anymore than we can schedule the weather. Revival is sent from God when He wants to send it. Pray. Come. Worship. Listen. Respond. Apply. Share. Let’s do what we can to prepare for whatever God sends our way.
