What are we singing in worship? Why are we singing it?
Song Ties for the Week of May 5, 2024:
This morning, Hunter Luby will be playing a song called, “Counting My Blessings” by Seph Schlueter for the prelude. The song is so very appropriate for this day (Senior Recognition Sunday). Here are the lyrics to the song in case you’ve never heard it.
Verse One: It’s like it was yesterday. I was a praying for a miracle, scared to have a little hope; and now looking back today seeing all the things You’ve done, I can’t even add them up.
Pre-Chorus: One, two, three up to infinity, I’d run out of numbers before I could thank You for everything.
Chorus: God, I’m still counting my blessings, all that You’ve done in my life. The more that I look in the details, the more of Your goodness I find. Father, on this side of Heaven, I know that I’ll run out of time, but I will keep counting my blessings knowing I can’t count that high.
Verse Two: And I know that seasons never lost forever, so God, I will remember all of the reasons my heart has to be grateful, all the times You’ve been faithful to me.
Here’s a link to the song if you’ve never heard it.
Below is a Spotify playlist of the songs that will be sung in our next Night of Worship. Not all arrangements are the exact ones we will be singing. This list is provided for your listening pleasure! A free Spotify account can be created at Spotify.com.
