David has served as pastor of West Heights since 1998. He and Susan have been married since March 12, 1977. They have two grown sons; Nathan and his wife Jessica, and Ben and his wife Cassie. They have seven grandchildren, Hiett, Walls, Jules, Malachi, McAuley, Hillie and DL. He is a graduate of Blue Mountain College, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Trinity Seminary. His hobbies include spending time with his grandkids and horses.
Joseph Luby, Associate Pastor of Education / Administration

Joseph serves as the Associate Pastor of Education / Administration at West Heights. He began serving as Interim in June 2016 and became full-time in September 2016. He is married to Jennifer Luby and they have two kids: Hunter and Sadie Marie. Joseph’s hobbies outside of work include playing golf and being creative through woodworking.

Craig Richardson, Minister of Music & Media

Craig joined the staff in October 2020. He is married to Dori Richardson. They have two grown sons: Drew and his wife, Amber, and Will and his wife, Tara Beth. They have one daughter, Maylie, who is seven years old. Craig and Dori have four grandchildren: Rosie, Ellie and Brooks (Drew and Amber) and Lyla (Will and Tara Beth)! Craig is a graduate of Tupelo High School and attended Itawamba Community College. He graduated from Delta State University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His hobbies include pickle ball, tennis, biking and spending lots of time with grandchildren.
Casey Russell, Minister of Students & Missions

Casey began serving as Minister of Students & Missions in November 2020. He is married to Lauren Russell. They have 3 kids: Landon, Paislee, and Adelyn. He is a graduate of Blue Mountain College. His hobbies include going to his kid’s sports, fishing, and riding horses.

Ryan Moorman, Minister of Children & Families

Ryan has served as Children and Families Minister since July 2019. It is his prayer to see children become followers of Christ through teaming up with parents as they disciple them at home. He is married to Lindsey and they have two girls: Raylee and Payton. He enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.
Allen Maxey, Director of Senior Adult Ministry

Allen started serving in this position as a volunteer in 2020 and currently serves as a part time staff member. Allen retired in December of 2021 after 26 years in healthcare. He has been married to Nancy Adams Maxey for 46 years. In addition to serving in Senior Adult Ministries, Allen drives tour buses for Cline Tours. Traveling provides Allen the opportunity to see God’s beautiful creation and minister to many different types of people. Allen and Nancy keep a small farm with sheep, donkeys and dogs.
Rocky Tzib, Minister of Hispanic Mission

Rocky has served as a church planter in North Mississippi since 1993 and has planted five churches. In 2001 he became the pastor of Cristo Vive Baptist Church in Pontotoc, MS. In 2021, he became a strategist for the Hispanic work in the state of Mississippi for the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board. He is married to Glenda since July 25, 1998. They have two boys Jordan and Nathan. His hobbies are missions and family.
Lisa Ferguson, Administrative Assistant of Education

Lisa began serving as Ministry Assistant in January, 2020. She retired from the Pontotoc City School District after teaching Special Needs students for 28 years. She is married to Ricky and they have two children: Shea Mills (Caleb) and Jacob. Lisa and Rick have one grandchild, Eli. They are expecting a second grandchild in April of 2024. Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, reading and crocheting.

Gayle joined the staff in 2024 as a Ministry Assistant. She grew up in Randolph and joined WHBC in 2022 with her husband, John Wesley. They both enjoy participating in the Music Ministry. They started Pillar of Fire Food Truck together in 2020 and still operate it part time. She enjoys spending time with her family.
Jennifer Quarles, Administrative Assistant of Finances

Jennifer Quarles came to West Heights as Financial Secretary in July 2011. Jennifer grew up in Pontotoc and has been a member of West Heights since 1982. She and her husband Randy have three children: Austin Cook and his wife Ashton, Hannah Bailey and her husband Cory, and Shelby Knight and her husband Cooper. She has one grandchild, Lucy (Shelby). Jennifer enjoys camping, traveling, and spending time with her family.
