Be discipled. Make disciples.
What would happen if students and families truly made Christ supreme in their lives? What if students and families built their lives on God’s Word? What if students and families “counted the cost” as Luke 14:28 says and saw that Jesus is better than anything this world has to offer? What if these same students and families decided to pursue Christ wholeheartedly and live as lifetime disciples of Christ? Revival would happen in individuals, in homes, in churches, and in our world.
This is our prayer. The Heights Student Ministry exists to partner with parents to make lifetime disciples of Christ who will make disciples. Our goal is twofold: to equip families to make disciples in the home and to supplementally disciple students when they enter the doors of our church. We want students to know Christ, grow in Christ, and serve in the body of Christ.
Our weekly schedule is designed to accomplish this. In all we do, we strive to make God’s Word central. Students meet in the youth room and then split into grade-based Sunday school small groups at 9:45am on Sunday mornings. There, they are taught the truth of Scripture and how it applies to their lives. On Wednesdays, students and even families gather in the youth room for worship and Bible study at 6:15pm. Following this, they have the chance to split into small groups with highly qualified adult leaders to discuss how to apply this truth to their lives. We have DGroups that meet throughout the week, where students commit to gather together for accountability and to hear how God is moving in each other’s lives in their own personal Bible study.
Join us at one of these times at The Heights…It will be an honor to serve your student and your family!
